In Tanzania, only 15% of population have access to toilets, and more than 4,000 children die every year from diarrhea due to unsafe water and poor sanitation. Usichukulie Poa is a Swahili campaign launched to increase the building and use of latrines in Tanzania, and to increase the practice of hand washing.

 

 

Cooking smoke from dirty cooking fuel kills almost 100k people a year in Nigeria, disproportionately affecting women and children. Upgrade to Gas is a campaign launched to increase the use of clean-burning cookstoves, in order to save lives, improve livelihoods, empower women, and protect the environment from deforestation.

 

 

The OPTIONS consortium works to accelerate the introduction of new HIV prevention products to populations that need it most by providing support and technical assistance.
